🌸 Mother’s Day Stall 🌸

Today our school was filled with excitement as students visited our Mother’s Day Stall to choose the perfect gift for the special women in their lives. The variety of gifts was absolutely gorgeous, and the students’ smiles said it all — pure joy, pride, and anticipation as they made their selections.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Stage 5 students who supported the younger students so patiently and kindly. Your guidance made the experience even more meaningful.

Seeing the children’s faces light up with excitement was the highlight of the day. We hope all our mums, grandmothers, and mother figures feel the love in every gift chosen today. 💛🌼

🌸 Mother’s Day Celebration at EOCC 🌸

What a beautiful morning we shared together as a community. We began our Mother’s Day celebration with a warm and welcoming morning tea, giving our mothers, grandmothers, and mother‑like carers the chance to gather, connect, and enjoy a special high‑tea experience together.

🎟️ Our Mother’s Day Raffle

A big congratulations to our lucky winners. We loved seeing the joy on the faces of our special mums as they received their prizes.

🙏 Mother’s Day Liturgy

Our celebration continued with a heartfelt liturgy led by our incredible Stage 6 students. Their leadership, reverence, and presence made the moment truly meaningful.
Our choir lifted the atmosphere with their beautiful performances of Horses and Lord, I Need You, filling the space with gratitude and grace.

A huge thank you to our talented Work Hub students, who created, packed, and sold a range of special treats for our parents. Their hard work and pride in their creations made today even more special.

Dr Elisabeth Black, CEO and Clinical Director of The Brown Nurses joined us this morning at our second gift making workshop for Mother’s Day. This year, the keyrings lovingly made by our mums will be going to the clients of The Brown Nurses and local refuges. Elisabeth described the community nursing approach of The Brown Nurses in meeting the needs of isolated and marginalised people living in the inner city. She enthusiastically accepted the first batch of gifts made and looks forward to future collaboration with our school community.

A fellow traveller in keeping Eileen’s legacy alive and thriving - we will definitely join forces again!

A big shout out to all the mums who came on Tuesday and Friday - you are magnificent! Over 50 keyrings beaded!

Our Belonging Buddies program is officially underway, and our students have loved their first week of buddy time.
Across K–12, each class has been paired with a buddy class, coming together fortnightly to build connection, friendship, and a strong sense of belonging.

This week our students began their first activities — sensory‑friendly, AAC‑inclusive, and adaptable for every age and ability. It was beautiful to see mixed‑age groups learning, playing, communicating, and supporting one another.

At the heart of Belonging Buddies is our commitment to dignity, inclusion, and Catholic values — ensuring every student feels seen, valued, and connected in our community.

Can’t wait to share more moments as these friendships grow. 🌿✨

Across Sydney Catholic Schools, young artists are telling powerful stories through portraiture. The 2026 SCS Portrait Prize attracted 725 student submissions, with 93 artworks from 40 schools selected for exhibition.

Each portrait captures not just a face, but the connection and story behind someone important in the artist’s life. Now in its fifth year, the Portrait Prize continues to nurture creativity and artistic growth among students from Kindergarten to Year 12, encouraging them to develop both their technical skills and emotional insight.

🌺 ANZAC Day Liturgy – Lest We Forget 🌺

Today our college community gathered in prayer to honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of the ANZACs. Our liturgy invited us to pause, reflect, and remember those who gave their lives so that others might live in peace.

The purpose of our prayer was to hold these men and women in our hearts, to pray for all who continue to serve, and to ask God to shape us into people of peace, compassion, and courage in our own world.

We were guided by the words of Scripture:
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

A heartfelt thank you to our Stage 6 students, who led today’s prayer with such reverence. Your leadership helped create a truly meaningful moment for our whole community.
