A Father's Day Morning tea of Gratitude & Togetherness

Our celebration began with a lovely morning tea, where families gathered, connected and enjoyed delicious treats. The atmosphere was full of joy as our Fathers and Father‑like carers were honoured , and a few lucky winners walked away with raffle prizes that added extra excitement to the morning.

What stood out most was the spirit of connection. Fathers sharing stories and families taking a moment to simply be present with one another. It was a reminder that community is built through these small, meaningful moments.

Following morning tea, we came together for a beautiful liturgy.

Heartfelt prayers invited us to reflect on the gift of fatherhood. Our choir filled the space with uplifting songs that brought a sense of peace and unity. The gathering drew us closer to Christ, reminding us that faith grows strongest when shared.

It was a morning that blended celebration, gratitude, and spiritual connection , a true reflection of the love and guidance fathers bring into our

💛 Happy Learning Support Appreciation Day – Celebrated This Wednesday 💛

This Wednesday we celebrated our incredible Learning Support Officers, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for everything they do at Eileen O’Connor to support our students.

Our LSOs play a vital role in helping students with disability settle into their learning, feel safe, and build confidence. Their calm presence, patience, and genuine care help our young people navigate transitions, regulate emotions, and engage meaningfully in their classrooms and across the school.

Whether it’s supporting communication, assisting with sensory needs, encouraging independence, or offering a reassuring moment when it’s needed most, our LSOs are at the heart of creating a warm, inclusive environment for all students.

To our wonderful LSO team — thank you for your dedication, compassion, and the difference you make every single day. We appreciate you more than words can say. 💛✨

💙 Father’s Day Stall💙

Today our school was buzzing with excitement as students visited the Father’s Day Stall to choose something special for their dads, grandfathers and father figures.

A huge thank you to our Stage 5 and Stage 6 students, who worked beautifully throughout the day, helping younger students browse, select gifts, and enjoy the experience. Their kindness and teamwork made the stall run smoothly and created such a joyful atmosphere.

The stall was filled with a wonderful range of handmade and thoughtful gifts, including:
- Pom‑pom slippers — cosy and fun
- Homemade chocolates — always a favourite
- Coaster packs — sets of four, crafted with care
- Tie‑dyed socks — colourful and unique
- Gift packs and other surprises — something for every dad

The smiles on the students’ faces said it all — they loved choosing gifts and were so proud to take home something meaningful.

Thank you to everyone involved in preparing the products and supporting the stall. It was a beautiful way to celebrate the special men in our students’ lives.

🏅 Primary & Secondary Athletics Championships – Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre

What an incredible day at the Sydney Athletic Centre, Sydney Olympic Park, where our Primary and Secondary students came together for this year’s Athletics Championships. From the moment they arrived, the excitement was unmistakable — and they carried that energy through every event.

Across the track and field, our students demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, commitment and determination. Whether they were sprinting down the track, launching into long jump, powering through discus and shot put, or cheering from the sidelines, their effort and enthusiasm were truly inspiring.

We are proud to share that many of our students achieved fantastic results, earning 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes across multiple events. More importantly, they supported one another, celebrated each other’s achievements, and represented our school with pride. Medals will be presented at Mondays morning assembly.

A huge congratulations to all our athletes, your hard work and dedication shone brightly today. Thank you to our families and staff for your ongoing encouragement and support.
