Today our staff came together for a productive Staff Development Day, focusing on unpacking the new NSW Anti-bullying Framework and developing a shared understanding of its key principles and what it will look like at EOCC.

Throughout the day, staff explored the framework’s strong focus on prevention, early intervention, student voice, wellbeing, and creating safe, inclusive learning environments where every student feels valued and respected. We also examined what the staged implementation and rollout will look like in 2027, ensuring our school is well-prepared to embed consistent, evidence-based practices that support positive student relationships and address bullying behaviours effectively.

In the afternoon, staff worked collaboratively to review and update student communication profiles. This important process helps ensure we continue to understand and support the individual strengths, needs, and communication preferences of our students, allowing us to provide the most inclusive and responsive learning environment possible.

We are proud of the commitment our staff continue to show in strengthening student wellbeing, inclusion, and positive outcomes for all learners. #StaffDevelopmentDay #StudentWellbeing #InclusiveEducation #NSWPublicSchools #AntiBullyingFramework #EveryStudentKnownValuedAndCaredFor

At Eileen O’Connor Catholic College, we recognise that every child learns differently and has their own story to tell. Our personalised approach ensures that each student receives the care, support and opportunities they need to flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

Grounded in the Catholic tradition and inspired by the life and legacy of Eileen O’Connor, we strive to create an environment where faith, compassion and dignity are at the centre of all we do. Our students are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God, develop confidence in themselves, and build meaningful connections with others.

The video beautifully highlights the nurturing relationships between students and staff, the engaging learning experiences that take place every day, and the genuine sense of belonging that makes our college such a special place. It reflects the unwavering commitment of our community to ensuring every student feels safe, respected, included and empowered to reach their full potential.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ CCC NSW Sports Competition 2026🏅

Congratulations to all of our students who proudly represented our school at the CCC NSW Sports Competition held at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre, Homebush.

The day was filled with determination, perseverance and outstanding sportsmanship as students competed against talented athletes from across the state. We are incredibly proud of the effort, commitment and positive attitude shown by every competitor, both on and off the track.

Representing your school at this level is a wonderful achievement, and our students demonstrated resilience, teamwork and school spirit throughout the competition. Whether achieving personal bests, placing in events, or simply giving their absolute best, each student should be proud of their accomplishments.

A special thank you to our staff, families and supporters who encouraged and cheered on our athletes throughout the day.

Well done to all competitors on a fantastic achievement. You represented our school with pride and excellence! 💙💛👏

🌟 Belonging Buddies Term Wrap-Up 🌟

As we come to the end of another wonderful term of **Belonging Buddies**, we want to celebrate the friendships, growth and connection that have flourished throughout the program.

Belonging Buddies provides children with a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where they can build social skills, develop confidence, strengthen communication, and create meaningful friendships. Through fun activities, teamwork and shared experiences, children learn the importance of kindness, empathy, respect and belonging.

This term, it has been heartwarming to see our buddies encourage one another, step outside their comfort zones, work collaboratively and develop a greater sense of confidence and connection within our school community. These experiences not only support social and emotional wellbeing but also help children feel valued, accepted and connected.

We are so proud of the positive relationships that have been built and the way our students continue to demonstrate inclusivity and friendship each day.

We look forward to seeing our Belonging Buddies continue to grow, connect and shine in Term 4! 💙✨
