🕊️ Today our college community gathered in solemn remembrance, led beautifully by Nicholas Class in a prayerful liturgy. As we paused to honour those who have served and sacrificed, we were reminded of the power of memory, gratitude, and peace.

Through prayer, silence, and reflection, we stood together—students and staff—united in faith and hope. In remembering the past, we commit ourselves to building a future rooted in compassion and justice.

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." – John 15:13

May we continue to be peacemakers in our world, inspired by those who gave so much.

On Wednesday evening, we had the joy of welcoming our 2026 parents to Eileen O’Connor Catholic College. It was a heartfelt gathering focused on connection,sharing key information, building relationships, and grounding our journey together in faith.

From the moment families arrived, there was a sense of warmth and anticipation. Staff and parents came together not just to learn, but to grow as a community, united by our shared commitment to nurturing each child’s potential in a faith-filled environment.

This morning, our college community gathered for our 31st Sunday in Ordinary Time Mass, beautifully led by Teresa Class. It was a special opportunity to pause, pray, and remember those who have gone before us as we marked All Souls’ Day together.

We were especially grateful to be joined by many parents, whose presence added to the spirit of unity and reverence. In moments like these, we are reminded of the strength that comes from gathering in faith—supporting one another, honouring our loved ones, and deepening our connection as a community.

🌿✨ Today our students were immersed in a rich cultural experience during the Djalgala Incursion. With curiosity and respect, they explored Aboriginal artefacts, experimented with ochre painting, and created stunning canvas artworks using traditional dot painting techniques.

The final piece—a vibrant goanna—representing the totem for Wangal land, and stands as a beautiful tribute to the stories and traditions shared. This experience was not only educational, but deeply meaningful, and we know our students will carry these memories with them for years to come.

With hands-on guidance and real-time practice, our educators learned how to respond swiftly and confidently in emergency situations building lifesaving skills that could make all the difference. From chest compressions to using a defibrillator, the training was thorough, empowering, and deeply appreciated.
