We are excited to invite our EOCC community to join us as we honour and celebrate the wonderful mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures who bless our lives with love, strength, and grace.

Our talented EOC Work Hub students have been busily creating, making, packaging, and promoting their beautiful handmade products each crafted with care and pride.

🌏 Happy Earth Day from EOCC! 🌏

Today our students proudly celebrated Earth Day — a reminder that every small action we take helps protect the beautiful world we share. Our students are passionate advocates for caring for our planet, and their enthusiasm shines through in everything they do.

One of the ways we’re honouring Earth Day this year is through our new Book House, a special space where we can reuse and share books within our own school community. By giving books a second life, we’re reducing waste, encouraging reading, and creating a culture of sustainability right here on campus.

Our students also had the wonderful opportunity to share their Earth Day work with Mrs Bestulic and Mrs Tolhurst, proudly explaining the ideas, creativity, and environmental thinking behind their projects. Their confidence and commitment to looking after our Earth were truly inspiring.

Earth Day reminds us that caring for the planet isn’t just a once‑a‑year event — it’s a mindset we nurture every day through kindness, responsibility, and thoughtful choices. Our students are leading the way.

What an unforgettable day on our playground as our new installation of disability swings and an underground trampoline were officially installed. The excitement was instant — you could feel the energy lift the moment they realised these new play spaces were ready for them.

From the first swing to the first bounce, the smiles said everything. Laughter filled the air, students cheered each other on, and the whole space came alive with movement, confidence, and pure joy.

One student beamed, “We are so lucky!”
Another couldn’t stop smiling as they said, “This is the best day ever.”

These moments remind us why inclusive play matters so deeply — every child deserves the chance to feel happy when they play!

Today wasn’t just about new equipment. It was about belonging and unfiltered happiness!

🌟 Post School Provider Expo 2026 at Eileen O’Connor Catholic College 🌟

Today we proudly hosted our very first Post School Provider Expo, and what an incredible milestone it was for our college community. With over 26 Post School Providers joining us on campus, families had the chance to explore a wide range of supports that help young people with disability build their future with confidence.

From life‑skills programs and employment pathways to financial information and community participation supports, today’s expo offered families real insight into the opportunities available beyond school.

What made the day truly special was seeing our students, families, and staff engaging directly with providers who understand their strengths, needs, and aspirations. This is what EOCC is all about — creating pathways, nurturing independence, and ensuring every student is supported to flourish in the world ahead.

💛 A heartfelt thank you to all the providers who attended, to our dedicated staff who made the event possible, and to our families for your ongoing trust and partnership.

At Eileen O’Connor Catholic College, we remain committed to empowering students with disability through personalised learning, meaningful experiences, and a community grounded in dignity, hope, and belonging. Today’s expo was another step forward in helping our young people dream big and plan boldly for their future.
